Getting out might give you some new perspective and clarity. Feeling trapped if you don't ever go out makes sense, and I see that as a healthy feeling that could help you to be more motivated to try getting out. Yes, your mind can play tricks on you. If you take a breath, let your mind and thoughts and feelings calm down, and focus on what you know is true, you can reconnect with it and find the truth.
