My pain specialist commented that they are doing studies on DNA trying to prove that some bodies need a higher dose of certain meds for them to work because of the metabolism of the drug......for being a very small person, I needed a very high dose of pain medication to control the migraine pain when no migrain meds would touch the pain....but high dose of pain med was the only thing that worked. They said that the same study applied to benzos & possibly other medications also.....has to do with the bodies metabolism which they are thinking is a DNA thing.....so maybe putting them all in your system at the same time reinforces that .

I hate taking pills in the first place...so glad that my pain medication comes as a patch that works for 3 days
