I'm giving my present endo another try, she told me today the nodules aren't really enough centimeters in size for an adequate or even possible needle biopsy but before my next visit, early Sept., I should have my usual bloodwork done and another follow up ultrasound. She was very abrupt today and even borderline rude, she asked me questions and then spoke over me as I replied to her questions, any other symptoms I've been having she abrupty said are not related to my hypothyroidism, bah humbug, for I've been reading so much over the past couple of years, especially Dr Arem's book (it's like my Bible) and they say what I'm going through is part of the hypothyroidism and the Hashimoto's as well. I left so annoyed, especially waiting almost an hour and then being rushed out after 10-15 minutes of her time. Grrrrrrrrrrr! I'm so shot down right now. One thing she did increase my Cytomel, 5mcg in am and 5mcg in afternoon or evening.
I see Dr Arem is all for T3/T4 combo treatment and had to urge her in the past to allow me to give it a try, besides just the Synthroid which she now feels I do not need any more increase "according to the bloodtest update", sadly she is like all the others that strictly go with the "numbers" and not treat the patient and their symptoms, I'm tired of this.
I wish I had the courage to fly, I'd book an appt. with Dr Arem, but I had a few horrible flight experiences that had led me to just drive, and now I don't know if I'd want to drive or take Greyhound that many miles, I've driven up and down most of the east coast, and that is my limit for now.
Maybe a train? I've never really gone anyplace on one, just excursions on museum based steam engines. LOL!!
Oh well I'll see how the increase meds work after awhile.
She did say that maybe I should got to a doc for infectious disease or RA, in regards to the mysterious on and off low grade temps I've had for almost 2 yrs. I may even look into that,cause I'm so tired and now becoming depressed with feeling unwell for so long.
I'm rambling, I best get going to bed now.
