I couldn't ever have sex with a pregnant woman!

That would feel so, so
wrong. I imagine that's what going on here, and I don't blame him. Mental block is well said, Trippin2.0. Hopefully things will get on track when time has passed and you've given birth.

My husband has told me that he has some aversions and hesitancies towards being present at the birth. He doesn't want to see the baby be born. We are having a home birth and he has said that if I give birth in certain rooms, that he will not be able to have sex with me in those rooms in the future because he will be turned off knowing I gave birth there. Is this common?

Totally understand this and I would be the same way. I don't think there's anything unusual about this what-so-ever. I imagine this is partly why, back in the old days, it was more customary for the man to wait outside while the woman gave birth. ('though I dunno about rooms in the house) Just guessing. Then again, it's not like he'd have to see
everything that's going on, right? Maybe he's just blown the idea up in his head and it's terrifying him; it would me.
Just the views of a 28 year old man who's never been a father, let alone married. xD
