Are you questioning whether or not you have bipolar? If that is the case could you see a mental health practitioner for a screening? Not sure anyone here can give a definitive answer.

I don't think bipolar is the only disorder - I agree with the above poster that depression is too. This is in response to the word "mood disorder". There are many different diagnosis that can cause irritability. Were you stating that you're on a mood stabilizer or merely stating antiantileptics can stabilize moods? There are many disorders that can change our sense of stability. It depends really whether or not you meet the diagnostic criteria. Feeling irritability is not enough to go by.

What other symtoms are bothering you?
I am too vague on this, I agree.

I do know these things.....I am hypo-manic on certain AD's. I am overly irritable over small things. I have done better on anti-seizure medications in the past. (no seizure DX). I am anxious as I have GAD. I have a low grade depression all the time. (like dysthymia) I tend to obsess or ruminate over things. I don't get euphoria ever... just manic when on an AD.

Irritability is my middle name it seems. It could be that my anti-depressant is too weak to help my depression but instead it causes hypo-mania. Also it is possible that my GAD is not being treated effectively. A lot of things here.

MDD (dysthymia?)
GAD
ADHD? (I need to be tested if there is such an animal for adults)

Bipolar??
