I had a Freudian slip in therapy a couple of weeks ago. I accidentally referred to my marriage in the past tense, but heck, I am still married! I said something such as "like my marriage did" instead of "like my marriage does." I corrected myself after I said it and T said "Freudian slip," and we both laughed. Just shows where my unconscious is--it is always ahead of my conscious mind. Sometimes I wish my unconscious mind were my conscious mind, because it seems so much less in denial.
