So I have ADHD and have been on adderall, about 15mg 2x a day, for over 5 years now. However (most recently) I've suffered from a few debilitating panic attacks that landed me in the hospital and my depression seems to get really bad at night (when I'm coming down from adderall). Anyway I saw a new pdoc and he thinks I DON'T have ADHD, and that it's actually hurting me more than it's helping me. So he took me off it. Anyway, I'm finding I'm having a REALLY hard time just doing basic things, like getting out of bed is a huge struggle for me. And I can't get anything done around the house. I've been so reliant on adderall as a stimulant to get me through my day, I just have NO energy without it.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of a natural alternative to adderall, or maybe a stimulant that's not as addictive? Or doesn't have such a "harsh" come down that I can take?
Really I'm having the most trouble in the morning just getting out of bed and finding the energy to get my day started... and sorry but I can't drink coffee. For some weird reason coffee makes me tired :P
Thanks!
