Hi Direction,
I didn't eat the pizza, I had an apple instead. But how can you absorb calories from the food when you vomit it up right after eating it? It hasn't even been broken down yet.
I don't do this habitually-it's something I tried for awhile but then stopped. It is tempting though-I mean, really- because you have the lure of indulging in all that yummy good food but then vomiting it right back up so you don't get fat from it.
It's really frustrating these days. It seems you can't do ANYTHING without suffering some horrible consequence for it. I mean, really. Can't drink-become an alcoholic, can't smoke-you'll get cancer, can't eat-you'll get fat, with sex-you can get aids, can't go on shopping sprees, you'll go broke, can't drive fast, you'll get road rage and kill someone, can't sleep a lot, you'll lose your job...
It goes on and on. It helps me to understand the control aspect of a eating disorder. I keep having to give up a lot of the things I like to do because it's BAD for me. I want to do something bad for me just out of rebellion at this point but I don't want to have to suffer the consequences. Is that so wrong to indulge/purge every once in awhile?
