I have been corresponding with someone for 20 years. We met once, maybe 15 years ago. Sometimes we might go a few months without communicating. At other times we will write on a daily basis.
It's been a year since I heard from him. He hasn't responded to my last few messages. It took me six months before I realized something was wrong with that. I sent him a message today and the email bounced -- he had a gmail account with his full name, so it's not something you'd think someone would give up!
I am not sure what I am going to do next. I guess I will send something to his last snail mail address, but he was in the process of moving the last time we spoke. It may be too late for forwards. I could contact some of his old friends, but they have no idea who I am.
