The racing thoughts are symptoms of both GAD and Bipolar. I too have had conflicting diagnosis like Traveling. Turns out I have ADHD and GAD for sure (since it's been confirmed by more then 2 professionals), with the new doctor trying to decide on Bipolar. The other day I induced hypomania on the way to a store in a shady area that by the time I arrived, I had NO anxiety at all and felt really goooood, whereas normally I would have been hyperventilating, fidgeting, looking about, etc.

Are you only hyperactive and anxious? I can also be extremely hyperactive and goal oriented, going on just 4 hours sleep a night for a few days, but not usually an entire week. (You don't have to meet all the criteria to be bipolar).

I'd suggest that you track/journalize perhaps for a while med free or with just a few meds (as opposed to the 10 various they've had you on) - you may discover you have comorbidity of bipolar and ADHD.
