Okay, knowing that my all-electric little box house has no other heating-cooling than the heat pump, I thought it might be wise to investigate getting a natural gas line run into my house and installing a small gas fireplace stove as a heating device. I had to call a plumber to come give an estimate for running the line into my house and hooking up the stove (which I had purchased at Tractor Supply for $400). Two plumbers came, and each estimate was
$2,000+ just to run the line! I had also thought of using propane, but it I'm kind of afraid of propane. I think I'll just wear layers instead.
