I'm trying to keep busy. I just re-seasoned two cast iron skillets. Lol
I want to tell T about Oprah's SuperSoulSunday program about Madonna Badger. Madonna Badger lost her three young daughters and two parents in a house fire three years ago. Madonna said she wanted to Sui so many times...Madonna's doctors didn't know what to do with her. One of her therapists observed that Madonna was not crazy or mentally ill...she was just very, very sad. Her T explained that the parent/child bond is a real connection: one giant nerve connects mother to child. When a parent or child dies, that connection is abruptly severed. It can leave the survivor with a giant raw exposed nerve.
I can't imagine losing three small children and both parents in a fire. I can't imagine how to survive with that many exposed raw nerves.....
But I do strongly identify with the T's explaination. That is what it felt like for me to lose my mother four years ago.
I have tried to add a link to this program. It explains this better than I can. It was an "aha" moment for me...
