I've been getting the flu shot every year for at least the last 10 years. Never had a problem with it. Sometimes I get a little swelling at the site of the injection, but that goes away within 24 hours.

I've had pneumonia 3 times, so it's pretty important for me to take precautions against respiratory infections. Haven't had a case of the flu since 2008, when it turned into pneumonia. I had bad karma that year and came down with one of the nastier flu strains.
