43campt, I agree, Xanax does not make me sleepy. I haven't taken it in about 25 years. I did take klonopin for about 13 years and it never made me tired. Trazadone knocked me out cold, but I hated it because I felt so groggy. I've had trouble sleeping for bouts, but not long term. I've heard great things about melatonin. But as for prescriptions, small dose of Zyprexa does it for me these days. A little groggy the next day, but not as bad as trazadone.
