For me, as soon as I get angry, changing my stance (if standing, I try to sit down) to a more comfortable position helps. Also another thing (mentioned above) is to breathe and having some water also calms down.
The situations and people that enrage you, you should try to identify these and then it is better to avoid such situations/people. If anything happens, distancing yourself from the situation also helps you recover and think rationally.
