I had been out of the hospital for a year and just finished a year of therapy. I went off of my medications. I had just started a new job and there had been dramatic increase in the price of gas. I got ahold of a list of employees and their home addresses (I worked in HR). I found about 9 people that lived closed to me and sent them all, my co-workers and total strangers, inter-office emails that I lived closed to them and that I thought the price of gas was going to jump to $5/gal very soon and no one would be able to afford to get to work. I went on to offer a variety of scenarios that I would be willing to drive every other day, week, month, how we would pay each other and how we had to stick together to make it through this difficult time. Finally, I asked “Would you like to car pool with me?” I got one response saying that they doubt the price of gas would go that high and we should all be fine. Not to mention I talked and laughed to myself at my desk and every so often had red eyes from crying.

I worked there 6 months. It was shortest length of time I worked at a job before getting fired.
