I watched this documentary on happiness and it said socializing is key. It said the happiest people are ones who have large families and many friends.

If that's true, why do i feel so uneasy with people? I just want to be left alone. Most days i just say hello to my neighbors when i walk my dog. I feel fine -- not happy, but it's nothing that socializing will fix.

I feel tremendous pressure and anxiety when i'm with people. I just want to get away! Could it be that MOST people are happier with large social groups, but I am happier by myself?

How about the rest of you? Do you like company or being on your own? If it's a balance, what are the percentages? I like company 10% of the time and being on my own 90% if the time.
