I realize that it is highly unusual to be asking this question, because the usual adage is Prozac=impotence, but ...

This is my second round of Prozac, 10 mg (smallest dose). I know that a lot of people have negative sexual side effects on Prozac, but my case seems to be the opposite. I wonder why. Is it because Prozac lifts depression and thus makes things better sexually, or do I have some sort of a paradoxical reaction to this medication? The reason I am asking - I treat being on Prozac, for myself only, as an emergency measure, to deal with a period of elevated stress, uncertainty, etc., and not as a maintenance drug because I am OK most of the time without that extra support. However, if the little pill does improve things sexually, I might as well take it indefinitely because I have no negative side effects.

Also, when I took it for the first time, I did not believe that it would work. It worked wonders. But no placebo effect (or at least I think so) because I had literally zero trust in the medication. And when I took it the second time, I did have trust in its ability to lift the depression and energize me, but I did not expect sexual improvement because I completely forgot about that positive aspect of the first experience. So once again I do not think that it was the placebo effect because I did not have any expectations.

Interested to see what people's experiences have been.
