I would say do whatever you can to prevent the episode if possible. Distractions may not do it depending on what they are. While you still have the energy and motivation I would suggest exercise. Walking outside. Doing anything social. The energy of others can make a big difference.

I have been dealing with it for years and often nothing works in preventing it or getting out of it and I have learned to let it run its course. Its not because that is my strategy it is just what is.

Klonopin .5mg twice a day, cutting this back
