The then gf and I were looking into buying a house over last winter. As spring started, I got the "courage" to move ahead and put in an offer.
This started a string of events and tied in with training for a new postion at work and taking on waaay too much repsonsibility, our offer was accepted, we got the financing and bought it.
Then we went engagement ring shopping and I secretly financed that.
Then we were told they dont plow the snow where we live, making her Honda Civic no good for winter driving. So we went to look at used trucks and left with me having financed a brand new turbo diesel pickup.
Shortly after that we saw a need for a 4-wheeler (ATV), so I looked around and found a nice used one that came with a winch and a plow. Rather than thinking hard about it, espcially when I was turned down for bank financing, I financed it through the credit card associated with the motorcycle I financed a few years ago.
Long story short, I financed almost $190,000 on 4 purchases in 35 days, with no guaranteed way to pay the bills.
But I ended up with a house that will be renovated to like new, a new truck, a very useful ATV, and a fiance. ALL GOOD!
