Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Perhaps you knew all along what your wound was and that did allow you to gravitate towards your line of work now. I'm sure with all you've been through, you are an asset to the health system and to those children who need their voice heard. Have you thought about becoming a volunteer with the kids from CASA? They need people like you and myself who were abused in some way during childhood. Google CASA if you don't already know about it.
