Just read a lot and be mindful that you don't have to take the prescribed course of treatment - there are many different kinds for BPD. Also, while there isn't any diagnostic meds, there ARE meds to help control symptoms should you choose to try them.

Spend time figuring out what this diagnosis means to you - you might consider the condition unworthy of treatment (depending on the severity) or you might like to start a new care plan straight away. The health professionals involved in your care should be accepting of both decisions and mindful of how co-morbidity could be affecting your decisions/symptoms.
