I quit xanax after 15 yrs. just cold turkey, I don't think I was addicted to it since I never increased my dosage, but I did have an OD last Aug. on xanax after a hurtful comment from my husband (I'm way too sensitive) so doc changed me to klonopin. So I guess I'm not a good resource on getting off xanax. I just did it with no ill effects.--Suzy
