I lost my dad to bone cancer when I was 13 years old. We lived in the same house but our relationship wasn't great because he was an addict. But still, I love him and he never treated me wrong. Sometimes the feeling of missing him hits me so hard in the face. My mom abused me and i don't have any contact with her right now. Also I have no siblings.

I sometimes wonder why this happend especially to my father, which sounds so bad but I can't help it. I know so many people who are in their 50's who still have both of their parents and it makes me jealous.

I hope to find someone who has gone through the same thing and that we can discuss how to deal with it.

Yep, lost my father at 16 years old. I always went over the same thought - "why me?" and went through an existential crisis as a result. Also, my depression became worse.
Thanks for this!
