Yep, everyone seemed to be artificially nice to me. I never went to a therapist formally, but talked to friends mostly. You really find out who cares about you when a parent dies. I also reached out to some people who I otherwise would have never even come close to, forming some great bonds and friendships. I didn't really properly grieve, but rather started questioning the meaning of everything in my life. I felt a bit isolated because of this. Many relatives turned to God; I was distanced more than anything else. Lastly, my depression came back in full force.
