Yeah, that's exactly the way it is. I do that at work - open my email, network files, DB projects, hiring files, etc, etc and try unsuccessfully to work on all of them while having 3 conversations at once. I also tend to do it physically - walking from room to room trying to do 6 things at once and forgetting all of them. I just want to switch my brain OFF. Petty the brain doesn't have a button like a computer where you can choose switch off, restart, sleep...
