Therapy can be helpful, especially CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Going to a support group helps because it gets you out of the house and around people even if its just people with similar issues you have yourself, it gets you more comfortable in social situations without throwing you out into the most uncomfortable situation like a party or something.
