I use the computer as a distraction from my symptoms. This can be a very useful tool, but I have been using my computer to the point of not getting goals done and not socializing face to face. In January I am putting my computer in the closet on weekdays to simplify my life and face reality.

I feel hopeful. I hope I will read more and journal more. I hope to learn to love my bipolar brain for what it is, good and bad bits. That means I have to stop running from myself and just sit with difficult symptoms. This part freaks me out. I am hoping to learn some new tools in the process.

If you have any favorite coping skills I'd love to hear them.
