My advice, because I had to in order for it not to interfere with my medications, gave up all alcohol, any mind controlling drugs, except what the doctor gives to you. As a great self gift, I stopped smoking, including pot which I only did when I was alone in B.C. Canada short times last three or four years trips. Just doing there helped me feel much better about self, and my health feels better. I was self medicating before I was diagnosed BP II. I list these because it became so important to me, however I wonder if people much younger than I would have a harder time doing the same. When younger I did too much partying.

Tipper1492, you must be a history buff. May I ask which meds you are referring to? I just started Lamotragine. Is that one you found helpful? It's only been 3 days. Thank you for your reple. Cheers!
