Little Jay, I think you would feel better if you take your mind off of this. Say, put a reminder on your calendar exactly one year from now - if you are not pregnant by then (or with a newborn), then go see a midwife or ob-gyn. Place the reminder and start thinking of something else. This month-to-month worry will deplete your emotional resources.
Before the advent of medical technology, there used to be stories - quite a lot of them - about infertile couples who gave up on getting pregnant and adopted. Once they released the hopes of ever getting pregnant, they did get pregnant! The explanation of this phenomenon implicated high levels of stress and anxiety that went away once the couple adopted.
If that theory is true, your being currently consumed by the anxiety and worry over whether you'd get pregnant this month might be precluding you from conceiving.
Yes, I do know the expression "easier said than done". But still, just a thought...
