I understand... I try and have a low carb protein drink in the morning along with my vitamins, so I can try and stay healthy.
I too stay away from carbs... if you can't eat, at least try a protein drink to keep your strength up and make sure you take vitamins to compensate
I take a multi vitamin, fish oil, fax oil, vitamin D, Vitamin K (I have a vitamin K deficiency), Vitamin E and extra Potassium.

This way I don't feel so guilty, I make sure and get supplements my body needs.. I also try really hard to eat some sort of protein in the evening with a vegetable like broccoli.. I don't always eat it all.. but at least it is a start.
