I'm not a combat vet, but i respect the difficulties you have faced that most of us never will. It sounds like you have been disciplined with yourself to learn your limitations and work on expanding them, but also kind enough to yourself to realize that a 'set-back' is only just that.
I have found PC to be extremely useful for finding a compassionate ear on short notice. You get in a tight spot, you need suggestions, or just someone to go, "I hear you, dude!", it's very good to know that at just the click of a button there are people who want to help.
