If it doesn't get that cold where you are, then you have a lot more options....no need to get one that makes you look like 'The Michelin Woman'.

I have 3 lovely coats that I bought at Charity shops.

1. Saba full length black .....paid $15
2. Max Mara full length double breasted gray coloured (lambswool and cashmere)...paid $180......Original price $5000
3. Tesuti brown worsted wool with mink collar pea coat.....$40

Granted you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find the good stuff in charity stores, but absolutely worth it when you discover treasures like these....just need to be persistant.
