For three years, it's mostly been T's shoes, or a spot on the carpet just to the side of his shoes.

But we switched to sitting on the floor recently, side by side, backs to the wall (trying it out as a possible workaround for some intense fear i'm experiencing). As well as looking up and around the room more, i've noticed i also turn and look at T sometimes. And not just at his shoes, at his face. Eye contact, even.

It's surprised us both. And I can see that T is really liking it. I'm kind of liking it, too.
