I have a second cousin who's BP 2. Other than that, I'm the only diagnosed bipolar in the family, although in retrospect I think my mother was every bit as BP as I am. What I had was a family loaded with alcoholics and there was some depression and anxiety going on, but of course we didn't talk about those things back in the day. I think if my parents were still alive that I would never have had the guts to go and get help, and I'd probably have killed myself long ago.
