Mikey had to make a trip to the vet yesterday. He had a swelling on his face that was worrying me. Turns out he had an infected lump node. He probably got swatted in the face by one of the others. If there's something going on around the house it's guaranteed he will be in the middle of it.

I knew he was getting to be a big boy, but was still surprised when they weighed him. At six months old he weighs 8 pounds 4 1/2 ounces!!! At six months he weighs as much as a full grown cat. There's no fat on him. He is solid muscle. He is going to be one very BIG boy!

I mentioned to the vet that I thought he might be part Maine Coon cat. She agreed, but also suggested he might be part Norwegian Forest cat. Either would explain his size.

Do I sound like a proud momma?

He is my baby boy, BIG baby boy, but my baby.
