I guess the pullups and pushups really work the pecs more than I realised. (PS, yes, I am a guy xD)

Wow, Blue, that's awesome! I hope it works out. I̶ ̶a̶l̶s̶o̶ ̶k̶i̶n̶d̶a̶ ̶s̶c̶r̶e̶w̶e̶d̶ ̶c̶o̶l̶l̶e̶g̶e̶ ̶u̶p̶ I had problems at college, too, back in those days, but yep, just like you, I'm doing better now.
Congrats on your pecs. They're some of my favorite muscles. For some reason, when they feel sore from exercise or when I feel them getting stronger it make me feel great!
