I get that sometimes when I'm manic. I just ask my husband if he can hear the music, or the static that I hear sometimes over the TV or radio. I don't know why your doctor doesn't call this phenomenon what it is---auditory hallucinations---because that's what they are; you're hearing things that don't exist. I feel for ya, hon.
