Glad to offer an idea. Hope things feel a little calmer.

One thing that helps me is to do a worst case scenario. What is the worse thing that could happen if all your worst fears came true. Someone could abuse you verbally but you have survived that before. Of course if this exercise just gets you more anxious, don't continue it.
