Seeker, there are times I think of picking up and moving, but it's usually when things are not going well in my life. The reality is that I'd be scared spitless to pick up and move to somewhere that I did not know anyone else. Some people say they "put down roots" somewhere. I tend to put down taproots (long and very deep). I am a homebody to keeps to herself most of the time. I have a good support system where I am. I'd be afraid if I picked up and moved away I would end up alone and isolated with no support.

By the way, prices are not all that low in Florida, especially in the cities.

What about thinking of another way of being adventurous? What about traveling? What about learning to do something new?
