basically meeting room concept is for people who with DID are co conscious meaning the alters can hear and talk with each other (some people call this hearing voices) short version of how to do it is the one calling the meeting thinks or says inside that we need a meeting, and sets the ground rules..

examples of ground rules.... the one calling the meeting says something like...

everyone who can hear me attend the meeting and then they tell others if they can.

everyone takes turns talking.

when its time for the meeting we will go sit at the dining room table or other quiet area (real time holding these kinds of meetings can sometimes get outsiders staring and wondering what is going on if you are for example in a store and someone at the meeting suddenly blurts out something, outsiders cant see those with in so they dont know this physical person isnt taking to their self, and other not so nice words society sometimes uses when they see someone on the street or other public area talking aloud.)

once you find a quiet area you use your imagination on what the meeting place can look like or be so that everyone feels safe (sometimes in therapy a therapist will help a person develop their meeting or safe place through the use of imagination/meditation/visualization like my therapist did for me)

once everyone is settled the one who called the meeting starts the topic of discussion. the mental meeting goes on until things have been squared away or a time limit has been reached (some people set a time and how long the mental meeting will be.

the meeting room can be anything that you want it to be, after all you are using your imagination/visualization to create it. to go back to it after its been created just find your quiet space and visualize what your meeting place looks like.
