Tigi is VERY nice. I like the packaging too. Kerastase - the silk bath one i think.

I don't know a LOT about different types of straighteners but most people I know who have hair that sounds like yours do go for something like the GHDs / salon strength (GHD = 'good hair day', and you can get them in pink to support breast cancer awareness! they are so pretty!).

I have also heard bad things about the 'wet to dry' ones.
