There is a Buddhist precept that says the more you want something, the less likely it is you will ever achieve it. Might it be you are trying so hard to be happy in this new, conscious way, you are defeating your own purpose? Also, what is this "new, conscious way" you're seeking to be happy in? Can you describe it for us? I think this would be an excellent post to put in the Coping with Emotions forum:
Can you explain this post? It sounds like you're making negative assumptions from one phrase that I wrote, accusing me of defeating my own purpose, and then saying it would make an excellent post for a particular forum. If just one mention of something I'm working on makes you feel I'm trying too hard and defeating myself, why on Earth would I write another post about it so you could accuse me of something else? Why on Earth would you even say anything critical about someone's commitment to happiness?
