The fires have been bad here in Florida, too. I had to shut my windows and turn on the AC last week because the air was so smokey from the fires in the center of the state. I kept waking up and the stench made me feel like I was living in an ashtray.

If anyone is interested, there are some very good aerial photographs that show how extensive the fires are in Georgia and Florida.
