Some are willing to prescribe with no exam--mine has. I have a history of sexual abuse and can't deal with an exam yet, but I also have cysts (identified by CT) that cause me problems without birth control. I specifically sought out someone who had worked with abuse survivors. She is working with me to help me be able to tolerate an exam, but she's not holding birth control hostage until then.
