dex,
I love the ideas...*very* practical!!!

I always wished that those extreme home makeover people would come to my house, but then one of my friends told me about one house where they used a pump to make it look like the plumbing was working, then left the people with no plumbing!!! Besides, what would be the fun of having someone else fix up my house, and not be able to make boneheaded moves like buying a couch I can't get in the room I planned it for?
Susan,
I suspect that someone with skill could get this couch at least in one of the two bedrooms, but these were just delivery guys who didn't really care much about getting it where I wanted it. Also, they were just these two little bitty guys, and sleepers are really heavy...they could barely manage it.
Here's a pic of the sofa: <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.domain-home.com/collections/view_collections_detail.cfm?zoom=yes&product_file_name=kensington_sofa&c_name=&group=live>http://www.domain-home.com/collections/view_collections_detail.cfm?zoom=yes&product_file_name=kensington_sofa&c_name=&group=live</A>
fgh,
Thanks for the suggestions...it's not so much the size of the door, but maneuvering the sofa around the corner. As I mentioned above, I think the right guys could do it, but these delivery men were definitely not the right guys.
Oh well...I'd better start moving furniture, so I don't have to vault the new couch to get through the living room!
