I have seen first hand how something as simple as a genuine smile can wipe a bad day's attitude right out of the picture. When it's so easy to do that, why can't more people smile?

I agree! I just love it when I get a return smile from a clerk or someone else I encounter in my day. It's so darn simple to smile, and seeing that person smile in response is such a day brightener. I actually think of it as a sort of guilty pleasure. I smile and say, "Thank you" when making a purchase or getting a service of some kind instead of waiting for/expecting them to thank me for my purchase.

And of course smiles from loved ones...smiles from children...from neighbors... I love it!

Not enough smiles in the world...
