Thanks for the responses guys, I appreciate it. At first, I was embarrassed to admit I wrote poetry. Not to offend anyone, but I so naively thought it was a sissy thing to do. Looking back, I think the writing was the only thing that kept me going through my troubles. I don't know where I would be without it.
