How nice of you all to make this thread. I didn't have a big family birthday party like we used to do. Only one of my kid could come and a Grand-daughter came. We had a nice time but what I loved getting the most was a Birthday Book--it was fantastic.
Patty, my wife, contacted all our kids, many friends, and some old colleagues and asked them to write a short note about what they would like to say to me--what memories they want to share. Then she put it altogether in a big notebook. It was touching--my wife and I both cried and laughed some as we read their comments about great vacations, ways we had helped each other, successes and disappointments.
