I'm truly sorry that you had a negative experience. I always read the entire post, and then I try my best to put myself in that person's shoes. I treat a person the way I would want that person to treat me. I have visited several websites that focus on mental illness, and I found that PsychCentral has the most caring, compassionate, kind, and informed participants. Are there participants who reply to posts with a seemingly uncaring and hurtful choice of words? Of course. But I submit that they are a very small minority of the total participants. And you have to keep in mind that some participants may be experiencing a difficult situation when they post or reply to posts. I'm not trying to excuse their hurtful replies to your post; I'm simply trying to offer a possible explanation.
